There are two different ways to make the engine tuning:

  • Additional engine control unit via 'Plug-In-System',
    up to 30% more power
    and up to 20% more torque

  • A better and more balanced traction already in the lower rpm-range and higher top speed
    (if the car is not electronically regulated)

  • ‚Dynamic Pro'-power increase for easy installation and removal with plugs
    used by the automotive industry

  • Right now there is no TUEV approval for the "Dynamic Pro" additional control unit available

  • The additional control unit can be used along other cars
    (a different wiring harness might be needed)

 Engine Tuning - OBD for Audi A8 D4 (4H)

The optimisation of the original engine control unit software via the OBD (On Board Diagnostics) gateway. This engine tuning can only be made directly at Hofele-Design in Germany or at local foreign dealers if they do have the needed hardware and flash tools.

Procedure for external dealers / body shops:
  1. the original engine software is copied via the OBD gateway (flash tool needed)
  2. the copied software file is send to us via email
  3. we do the software optimisation
  4. the optimised software file is send back via email
  5. the optimised software is written onto the original control unit via the OBD gateway
    (flash tool needed)
